Lydia’s photographs look like the escaped pages of a storybook that have been rebound in a pleasant, contemporary order. They are intimate and enthusiastic, like a reunion with an old friend. Lydia is interested in humans and the humanness of things. An overgrown forest looks like adventure; a shot of the sea feels solitary and contemplative. You don’t just see Lydia’s photos — you read them. Jennifer Lee O'Brien
